Online Security Saves Time and Money
The razzle-dazzle of scam alerts or lottery notification being paraded in some e-Mails, often unsolicited, shouldn’t catch your fancy an inch. If you receive any email that serves to alert or warn you of scam especially on your internet banking account, call your banking services provider to authenticate the proprietary of such a mail.
Read the e-Mail though, but do not divulge any of your password, pin and security details otherwise those details would be used to perpetrate fraud on your account.
A single fraud on your account can ruin your entire life savings! Therefore, you must not be quick to believe every single, unsolicited or scam mail that comes to you. It will be very absurd to lose your entire life savings to a single scam.
A prudent way to save money and not give it away to scam is to confirm the authenticity of any of such emails. Scam e-Mails are being circulated by fraudsters daily; these e-Mails request customers to update their account information by clicking on spurious internet banking links.
These e-Mails also request customers to provide other sensitive information about their accounts and ATM personal identification number (PIN). Should you receive an e-Mail requesting this type of information, DO NOT RESPOND!
Do not access your internet banking service outside your banking services provider’s confirmed domain. Anytime you receive such mails, call your bank to verify first, at least.
Always remember that your account user ID and password are confidential and should, under no condition, be disclosed to anyone.
If you take these precautions, you’ll be able to save money and not lose any to fraudsters.
