Save Money on Gasoline
Have you ever thought about the extra dollars you unknowingly waste by the way you buy gasoline? Here are some ways you can save up those extra pennies as regards gasoline.
When you go to some stations they charge extra fees when you pay via your credit card; you only need to pay cash at such stations. Compare prices at different stations and pick the one with the least price.
Pump gas yourself and always use the lowest octane advised in your owner’s manual.
Make sure you tighten the gas cap very well so none of the gasoline is wasted. It’s dangerous if the gas cap is not tightly fixed and remember this; do not fill up the gas tank; as sure as the gas is leaking away, so is your money being wasted. So avoid filling the gas tank to the brim.
For every 250 extra pounds your engine hauls, your car will lose almost one mile per gallon of fuel economy. So, only carry items that are absolutely necessary to be carried along.
Always keep your windows open when you are in a traffic jam; Instead of using your air conditioner. The air conditioning system of the car can lower your fuel economy by up to 20 percent. How’s that for some gulping of your money? It is absurd to watch your money evaporate into the atmosphere while you are still in the position to save it.
Keep your tires inflated to their proper pressure. Get your engine tuned; remove snow tires in good weather. Under inflated tires waste fuel and wears out the tire thread.
Little drops of water make the ocean! You will be amazed that you can save by far more than one hundred dollars a year by doing these simple things.

Hauling
That's interesting. I never thought of all the extra things I carry around in my car.
It's A Bit Different in the South
You can't sit in stop and go traffic without A/C cranking down here in the Texas Summer Heat. If you have to, you'll end up spending much more than a few drops of gas trying to cool yourself down with a soda or something cold from the c-store.
Sweat, it's hot.
You made a good point, but getting sweaty dosen't always end up with stopping and spending money on a soda.
I remember when my Father used to come home from work in his truck with a completely wet back. We lived outside of Fort Worth, Texas. Sweating is healthy, though sometimes uncomfortable, and is something you should have. It helps your body get rid of dangerous toxins, and it is a natural way of cooling down your body. Here is a great link that explains further.

When you get home, take a cold shower, it invigorates and refreshes better than a cold drink. Also, in some cases, cold water is better for hair than scorching hot water!
